Head of Humanities Faculty

Salary information: Inner London (competitive based on skills and experience) + TLR

Contract type: Permanent, full-time, subject to an enhanced DBS check

We are looking for a confident, organised and ambitious individual with the skill and drive to lead our successful Humanities team. As Head of the Humanities Faculty you oversee the  History, Geography and Politics departments, working closely with the teachers of those subjects to ensure a progressive and ambitious curriculum and strong outcomes for all students. 

School 21 is an all-through school serving students from reception to year 13. We are an innovative school with a mission to empower young people to meet the demands of life in the 21st century. History and Geography are taught at KS3 – 5.  Government & Politics is taught at A Level and is a hugely popular subject at School21. 

The successful candidate will be:

  • an excellent teacher and subject specialist with experience of teaching KS3-5
  • Someone with a track record of implementing curriculum to achieve high academic outcomes for students
  • a leader of people who can empower those they manage to set high standards for themselves, the teachers and students in their care
  • an organised and committed individual
