PE Teacher Maternity cover 2 days (Thursday and Friday), Interviews on Wednesday 13th December 2023

Salary information: Inner London (competitive based on skills and experience)

Contract type: Permanent, full-time, subject to an enhanced DBS check

Interviews are to happen in the week of Wednesday 13th December 2023

Job Description:

  • They will be responsible for planning, teaching and coaching students aged 4-16 years old in physical education.
  • The applicant should have experience in teaching girls PE particularly in Secondary School.
  • They will teach a range of different sports, including netball, gymnastics, basketball, football, athletics, rounders and athletics
  • Provide young people with an opportunity to develop and improve their social and physical skills through well planned, active and engaging PE lessons.
  • They help children work on their fitness, and give them the tools to lead a healthy and physically active lifestyle.
  • Commit to extra curricular PE at lunchtime and after school and lead teams to fixtures within the local Newham Schools League.
  • They will be an ambitious, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher of Physical Education.
  • The successful applicant will be a PE specialist with QTS.
