Project

Why Do We Believe?

Year 1

In this project ‘Why do we believe?’, children began to explore the concept of a ‘belief’ and how people believe in different things.

We talked about the importance of acceptance of others’  beliefs and linked it to our value of Kindness and Joy. Children learnt how to research and find out information from non-fiction books and technology. We then heard and learnt the story of Rama and Sita from the Hindu faith, as well as oral stories from across lots of different religions. Our focus was on writing and we worked together to produce a beautiful, written version of the Rama and Sita story which will eventually be published for family and friends to buy!
