The Makerspace is a captivating hub nestled at the centre of our school, specifically designed to nurture creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. This dynamic space is composed of several purpose-built workshop studios, each catering to different artistic disciplines, and it is a testament to our commitment to providing a well-rounded education that values both the arts and technology.

At the heart of the Makerspace lies ‘The Quad,’ an expansive rectangular area teeming with possibilities. The Quad has been thoughtfully designed to serve as a flexible, multi-disciplinary zone where students can collaborate, experiment, and bring their ideas to life. This versatile space can be easily adapted to suit various projects and activities, encouraging cross-disciplinary exploration and fostering a sense of community among students from different creative backgrounds.

Surrounding ‘The Quad,’ one will find a series of state-of-the-art studios, each meticulously equipped to cater to the diverse demands of various creative disciplines. The first of these is the 3D Design studio, a realm where imagination takes on tangible form. Equipped with cutting-edge 3D printers, scanners, and modelling software, students can design and fabricate physical objects, embracing the art of prototyping and pushing the boundaries of their creativity.

Next up is the Digital Media & Photography studio, where students delve into the captivating world of visual storytelling. Equipped with high-resolution cameras, professional lighting setups, and industry-standard editing software, this studio provides the perfect setting for students to explore the art of photography and filmmaking. From capturing awe-inspiring moments to crafting cinematic masterpieces, students can sharpen their visual communication skills and develop a keen eye for detail.

The Design Manufacturing studio is a haven for aspiring engineers, architects, and designers. Outfitted with advanced tools such as CNC machines, laser cutters, and woodworking equipment, this studio empowers students to transform their visions into reality. Here, they can fabricate intricate models, construct prototypes, and engage in hands-on problem-solving, honing their technical skills and fostering a deep understanding of the design process.

Last but not least, we have the Fine Art studio, an enchanting space where creativity flows freely. Designed to inspire and nurture the artist within, this studio provides a wide array of art supplies, easels, and specialised equipment for various traditional art mediums. From painting and drawing to sculpture and mixed media, students can explore a world of colours, textures, and techniques, allowing their creativity to flourish unrestricted.
