Community Newsletter 13/07/2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are so excited about welcoming you to our whole school Summer Celebration tomorrow! The event promises an amazing line up that will engage all ages and interests – whether face painting or bouncy castles are your bag, art exhibitions or Shakespeare – we have something for everyone. This is a celebration of learning as well as a celebration of the School 21 community coming together to have some joyful moments together.

This event will set the scene for even more parental engagement opportunities next year – with early opportunities being our ‘Building Connections’ evening that will happen on Tuesday 19th September and our ‘Meet the Coach (Class teacher in primary)’ on Tuesday 10th October. Please put these dates in your calendar as we are looking forward to building relationships in style.

For our ‘Building Connections’ evening we would love to have some parental involvement to help to plan this evening to really build belonging – whether you would be able to volunteer to help to translate for our parents who do not speak English or you would like to bring food to represent your culture we would love to hear from you. Do email Amanda Wynne if you would be interested in being part of the planning of this.

Our commitment to empowering young people shines through again in this week’s newsletter. I urge you to read ahead and chat with your child about their learning experiences this week.

Have a lovely Thursday evening – we look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Nicola Mason, Headteacher
